(The Real) Ghostbusters
was an animated television series (cartoon) that ran from 1986 to 1991 based on the movie Ghostbusters. "The Real" was added to the title after a dispute with another animated show that used the name "Ghost Busters," unrelated to the movie franchise.
Some reviewers have noted that the stories appear to owe more to the characters from the movie than the television show and I concede that while I describe the animated characters in these stories, the human actors from the film are far more real to me and do indeed influence the stories.
